We are thrilled to announce the inaugural print anthology from the Teen Writers Club, centered around the captivating theme of Afterlife. This is an exciting opportunity for our talented 2024 and 2025 members to see their work published!

Submission Period

Open: Saturday 30 August 2025
Close: Sunday 5 October 2025

All submissions will be via the Writers SA Submittable page.

Eligibility

•  Must be a Teen Writers Club member (2024 or 2025) with at least one full term of membership completed. 

Submission Categories

Writing

•  Fiction, Non-fiction, or Experimental: Submit up to two (2) pieces.                    
  •  Word limit: 1,500 words combined (for example 700 for one piece and 800 for another piece). 
•  Poetry: Submit up to three (3) poems.
•  Limit: 40 lines per poem.

 Illustration

•  Submit up to four (4) images.
•  Black & white preferred (for print clarity).
•  Must be high-resolution (300 dpi minimum). 

General Guidelines

•  Submissions must be original, unpublished work. 
•  Multiple submissions across categories are welcome (e.g., writing + illustration).
•  Work must align with the anthology theme: Afterlife (interpretations may be literal, metaphorical, or experimental).
